New Students not already registered with Accessibility Services
The Accessibility Services office provides information, support services and reasonable accommodation in all programs to students with documented permanent and temporary disabilities. These can range from attention deficit, learning disabilities, chronic health issues, hearing and visual impairments, physical disabilities, and temporary impairments due accident, illness, or injury.
Students who are registered with Accessibility Services
VIU students with a documented disability may be entitled to reasonable academic and/or exam accommodation. This is determined on an individual basis and must be supported by current documents from a qualified professional. Students requiring accommodation are strongly encouraged to contact Student Affairs at least one month before the beginning of the semester.

Please let us know if you encounter any physical barriers (e.g. an out of order elevator, power door opener, construction blocking a path, etc.) at any of the VIU campuses.
